Week 6: Surviving Hospital Bed Rest

6 weeks down and only 19 days to go until Baby Raylon enters this crazy world. Thankfully this week flew by. I think knowing that the day is so close has really helped me to stay positive. Each day was just another day. Had great visitors and lately I seem to sleep all day. This third trimester is kicking my butt.

Sunday was an unexpectedly great day. At first, I was sad because my husband and I never miss an opening day game for the Dallas Cowboys. We go every year with friends to tailgate and cheer on our team. I insisted my husband go with friends and to have a good time. He wanted to make sure I enjoyed myself so he brought a projector up to the hospital and set it up for me. My parents brought a projector screen and joined me for the game. It was awesome to have it up on a big screen. I wore my Cowboy jersey, we ordered pizza and even though the Cowboys lost we had a great time!!

So I don't know if I mentioned in a previous blog or not but not only am I dealing with high blood pressure I also have Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD).  Let me just tell you guys it is painful. The bigger the baby gets the more pain I'm in. I had a few days this week of constant pain which lead to me sleeping most of the day away. SPD makes it to where I can barely walk at all. My doctor decided since I was at 34 weeks that she wanted me to resume physical therapy. Now every other day PT comes to my room to do stretches with me. Its painful but I can tell a difference.

The best news was after Raylon got a sonogram yesterday! He weighed approx. 5lb 7oz and is head down again. Yay! Doctor predicts he will weigh 6.5 lbs when I get induced and feels positive that he won't go to the NICU. I'm so thankful to have made it to 34 weeks and 2 days. It won't be too much longer now! I can't even express how excited I am!!
